چکیده

We discuss a simple method to evaluate the QCD corrections to ∆ρ. It assumes that the perturbative expansion in terms of MS parameters is meaningful and, unlike other studies, exploits significant available information concerning O(ˆ α 2 s) corrections. This approach leads to an enhancement of ∼ 26% relative to the conventional evaluation. QCD corrections to the Z 0 → b ¯ b amplitude are also considered. Implications for electroweak physics are briefly discussed. The O(αα s) corrections to the electroweak amplitudes ∆ρ and ∆r have been the object of detailed studies in the past [1]. These analyses have been recently extended to the contributions proportional to m 2 t in the Z 0 → b ¯ b amplitude [2]. In a recent paper, Smith and Voloshin (S-V) have reexamined the O(αα s) corrections to ∆ρ by a detailed investigation of the relevant Feynman diagrams involving the t-b isodoublet [3]. Because of the large mass of the top quark and the fact that ∆ρ is evaluated at a much smaller scale, namely q 2 = 0, the conventional wisdom is that the Feynman integrals are dominated by euclidean gluon momenta k ∼ m t [4]. In fact, in most of the published calculations, ˆ α s is evaluated at m t , with the casesˆα s (2m t) andˆα s (m t /2) sometimes considered to estimate the theoretical error. However, in the case of ∆ρ, S-V find a significant sensitivity to scales ∼ 0.15m t. Specifically, employing the V-scheme running coupling [5], carrying out

QCD Corrections to Electroweak Precision Observables in SUSY Theories

The two-loop QCD corrections to the ρ parameter are derived in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. They turn out to be sizable and modify the one-loop result by up to 30%. Furthermore exact results for the gluonic corrections to ∆r are presented and compared with the leading contribution entering via the ρ parameter. 1 Contribution to the proceedings of the International Europhysics Conf...

Normalization of QCD corrections in top quark decay

We discuss the effects of QCD corrections to the on-shell decay t → bW . We resolve the scale ambiguity using the Brodsky-Lepage-Mackenzie scheme, and find that the appropriate coupling constant is α s (0.122mt). The largest long distance contribution comes from the definition of the on-shell mass of the top quark. We note that QCD corrections to the electroweak ρ parameter are extremely small ...

Magnetic moment of the ρ-meson in QCD sum rules: αs-corrections

The magnetic moment μ of the ρ-meson is calculated in the framework of QCD sum rules in external fields. αs-corrections are taken into account. Bare loop calculations (parton model) give: μpart = 2.0. The nonperturbative effects (operators of dimension 6) result in negative contribution, whereas perturbative corrections – positive one. The final answer is μ = 1.8± 0.3. ∗e-mail:[email protected]

ρ-meson form factors and QCD sum rules. Abstract We present predictions for ρ-meson form factors obtained from the analysis of QCD sum rules in next-to-leading order of perturbation theory. The radiative corrections turn out to be sizeable and should be taken into account in rigorous theoretical analysis.

Branching Ratios for B → K ∗ γ and B → ργ Decays in Next - to - Leading Order in the Large Energy Effective Theory

We calculate the so-called hard spectator corrections in O(α s) in the leading-twist approximation to the decay widths for B → K * γ and B → ργ decays and their charge conjugates, using the Large Energy Effective Theory (LEET) techniques. Combined with the hard vertex and annihilation contributions, they are used to compute the branching ratios for these decays in the next-to-leading order (NLO...
